Floyd Turner has been the Chief Engineer for the station since its inception, helping in the construction of WBGW, in 1990. Floyd is now the President of Music Ministries, Inc., the parent organization of Thy Word Network. He is married to Susan, and they have celebrated more than 40 years of marriage. Son, Bill, is also involved in the radio ministry. Floyd enjoys outdoor activities and especially camping and fishing in the West. He also enjoys working as a Consulting Engineer for a number of radio stations and is a Certified Radio Engineer and a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers since 1992.
Susan Turner, wife of Floyd and Mom to Bill, has recently taken on more duties in addition to being Financial Secretary for the corporation. Helping with newsletter articles and some of the day-to-day operations, frees up Floyd to pursue the recent expansion projects. Susan also enjoys reading and projects around her house - mostly the projects that bloom!
Richard Barton comes to us after 35 years establishing his business here in the Tri-State. Like Don Chagle, Rick knows nearly every road in the area and is ready to serve in the area of Outreach Ministries and donor relationships. He’ll be making contacts throughout our listening area. Rick and Marilyn have two grown, married sons, three grandsons, and a grandaughter, their pride and joy. They make their home on the west side of Evansville where Rick likes to fish and hunt deer!
Bill Turner works full time in the IT Department and assists in the Maintenance Department when needed. His job of loading programming and building hourly on-air clocks, means never being caught up. Having grown up in the ministry here, he is acquainted with almost every area of ministry. The never-ending job of keeping all of these computers working and virus free guarantees Bill’s job security!
Susan Jourdan brings her accounting skills to handle the day-to-day bookkeeping needs of the ministry. At present, she works part-time handling the many details which involve our annual audit. Susan is from southern Illinois, but calls Evansville her home. She and husband, Jack, have two grown married daughters and 5 grandchildren. Susan is a gardner, a great cook, and loves her babies!
Ben Smith has recently joined the team at Thy Word Network. He has a bachelor's degree in Media Communications from Indiana Wesleyan University and brings experience in on-air, Christian programming and promotions. You'll hear Ben on-air and he also assists with events and promotions. In his spare time, he enjoys being actively involved in his church, listening to music, playing drums, video editing and is the festival director of RiverCity Faithfest.
Kim Saunders is new to Thy Word Network and a recent transplant from the Pacific NW. Her primary responsibilities are posting donations, correspondence and answering the phone. She and her husband, who is a local pastor, have two adult daughters and a son who will soon graduate from high school. With a background in Piano Performance, she brings a love for Biblical teaching and music to the office.
Randy Chagle, a lifelong Evansville resident, is the son of station founders Don and Shirley Chagle. He recently joined us at Thy Word Network working in outreach ministries and assisting with managerial duties. He and his wife, Kim Chagle, have two adult children, Kelsey and Trevor.
