Floyd Turner has been the Chief Engineer for the station since its inception, helping in the construction of WBGW, in 1990. Floyd is now the President of Music Ministries, Inc., the parent organization of Thy Word Network. He is married to Susan, and they are celebrating 40 years of marriage this year. Floyd enjoys outdoor activities and especially camping and fishing in the West. He also enjoys working as a Consulting Engineer for a number of radio stations and is a Certified Radio Engineer and a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers since 1992. He makes friends wherever he travels, as you can see in his picture.
Susan Turner, wife of Floyd and Mom to Bill, has recently taken on more duties in addition to being Financial Secretary for the corporation. Helping with newsletter articles and some of the day-to-day operations, frees up Floyd to pursue the recent expansion projects. Susan also enjoys reading and projects around her house - mostly the projects that bloom!
Richard Barton comes to us after 35 years establishing his business here in the Tri-State. Like Don Chagle, Rick knows nearly every road in the area and is ready to serve in the area of Outreach Ministries and donor relationships. He’ll be making contacts throughout our listening area. Rick and Marilyn have two grown, married sons and three grandsons, their pride and joy. They make their home on the west side of Evansville.
Bill Turner works full time in the IT Department and assists in the Maintenance Department when needed. His job of loading programming, Community Calendar, and building hourly on-air clocks, means never being caught up. Having grown up in the ministry here, he is acquainted with almost every area of ministry. The never-ending job of keeping all of these computers working and virus free guarantees Bill’s job security!
Ruth handles all incoming phone calls. She manages the main data base, donations, answers email and keeps everyone on schedule. Ruth and her husband, Jerry, have been involved since the beginning with Thy Word Network and have been friends with Don & Shirley Chagle for more than 20 years.
